I have finally got­ten around to redesign­ing my per­sonal and com­pany busi­ness cards! Its about bloody time. With all I have gone through in the past two years, I just real­ized that all of the infor­ma­tion on my cards was far from up-to-date. So this past week, I designed two smokin’ new cards… one for my design firm, WickedINK Cre­ative, and the other for my art and illus­tra­tion. I’m thrilled about the way they have turned out, so here they are hot off the press.

The first card is for my illus­tra­tion work. The front has a mon­tage of var­i­ous comic story art that I have drawn and my sig­na­ture slightly above my name. The back has more art ghosted out on top of the dark back­ground color. I placed my sig­na­ture on the back as a design element.

The sec­ond card is for WickedINK. The card fea­tures my new logo and is themed to match my new web­site, which is in pro­duc­tion and almost com­plete. The back of the card has my new logo ghosted over a list of all the ser­vices my com­pany pro­vides. And of course there are ink blotches all over the card.

Pre­vi­ously, I had been using my com­pany card for every­thing, includ­ing my illus­tra­tion career. It began caus­ing con­fu­sion when an illus­tra­tion client or art buyer would ask for my card (which was focused on web design/print/branding). This new design will save me 15 min­utes of expla­na­tions with every art buyer I meet. I also needed to update some of the ser­vices my com­pany offers, as we are now offer­ing social media mar­ket­ing and coaching. It’s been a busy month around the studio!
